this album was one of the defining albums of the summer between my ninth and tenth grade years, which is to say, i rode my bike around listening to it on my ipod a lot. actually, most of the musical memories i have from that summer involve bike-riding. i usually wasn't going anywhere in particular, just riding and figuring out how to get here and there and stumbling upon things i had never noticed before. it was this summer that really made me improve my mental map of los angeles, or los angeles west of larchmont, at least. anyway, allmusic does a good job of describing this album - "the aural equivalent of a perpetual indian summer."
absolutely.
