2009 in memoriam

i was kinda boy crazy. i went to the smell a lot. i didn't go to museums as much as i did last year but i bought a lot of art books. i had jury duty. i rediscovered the joy of listening to full albums. i got and kept a phone. i threw up from drinking. i baked a lot. i still found myself disappointed with fiction. i wore more black clothing. i smoked more cigarettes than i care to think about. i learned to enjoy alone time. most importantly, i learned a lot about myself, about my friends, about people in general. i'm glad 2009 went the way it did. i wouldn't change a single thing.
